Lead Teacher- Upper Elementary

My name is Mister Tyler and I have been working as a lead teacher at the ranch for upper elementary since 2020. I love working at the farm school location with the kids and really getting to help them learn through hands-on experiences. I got my upper elementary Montessori certification through NAMC. Before coming to Oakridge I worked in warehouse management and also had experience as a tutor. Outside of the classroom, I am husband to my lovely wife and happy father to my three children.

Qualifications:

-Montessori Upper Elementary certification (ages 9–13) through the North American Montessori Center (NAMC) an accredited program by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE)

-Annual continuing education and professional hours are fulfilled through state-approved early learning frameworks like the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) MERIT system

-Annual continuing education by attending the American Montessori Society’s (AMS) conference; known for being the world's largest gathering of Montessori educators, researchers, and school leaders
