My journey in Montessori began as a mother. I was living in the valley and trying to find the best place for my children to be able to grow, learn and thrive. I couldn't seem to find the right place, so… I decided to build it myself. Through an enormous amount of love and perseverance I built this school not only for my own children but as a safe and loving environment for others as well. Perhaps anyone can teach. But to do a great job in Montessori you have to love the child.
I had someone ask me, “When do you think you’ll retire?” I thought for a moment and then said, “This would be a hard gig to give up. Every day a child tells me they love me. Every day a child gives me a hug. Every day a child makes a connection or starts to read. How do you just walk away? Outside of the classroom I am an avid world traveler, happy wife, and loving mother to three wonderful Montessori children.
